Recognizing Healthcare Organizations Leading the Way

In case you didn’t know, SpellBound is a small company. We serve many hospitals, but we are a concentrated team that is focused on solving patient engagement issues within healthcare, particularly within underserved and at-risk populations. It’s difficult to break into the healthcare market for any small company. But it’s especially difficult when your solutions utilize a technology that is not commonly used in healthcare (in our case, augmented reality). So when we encounter hospitals and organizations that not only are willing to try new technology for the good of the patient, but also use it and expand the ways in which it is used, effectively teaching our company about new value and applications, then we wholeheartedly felt the need to acknowledge these groups and show our deepest appreciation for how they are furthering pediatric care.

With the 2023 SpellBound Customer Success Awards, we recognize three hospitals and one foundation for their work in pediatrics and collaborating with us to improve pediatric care.

2023 Top Performer Customer Success Award: CS Mott Children’s Hospital, University of Michigan

This award recognizes outstanding dedication and commitment to using our technology solutions to improve patient engagement and experience. The exceptional engagement showcased by J.J. Bouchard and the entire child life team, alongside their remarkable efforts in adoption, workflow implementation, and solution utilization, have not only earned this well-deserved recognition but have also set a remarkable standard for other organizations to aspire to.

2023 Rising Star Customer Success Award: Comer Children’s, University of Chicago

This award recognizes exceptional dedication to innovation and ongoing exploration of solutions, catering to diverse patient needs and acuity levels as well as a commitment to enhancing care across a spectrum of medical complexities. Tracy Lau-Esquibel's exceptional leadership, along with the tireless efforts of the Child Life team, has played a pivotal role in earning this prestigious award. Tracy and the team's unwavering dedication to patient well-being and innovative approaches have undoubtedly contributed to this remarkable achievement.

2023 Customer Success Award for Innovation: MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital

This accolade is a testament to the exceptional efforts of Nicole Rosburg and the child life team, whose collaborative spirit and forward-thinking approach have significantly impacted patient care. The team's willingness to share feedback and embrace innovative solutions enhances the patient experience at MD Anderson Cancer Center and empowers our development team to create solutions that will benefit patients and families nationwide.

2023 Pioneer Award: Harrison’s Heroes

The Pioneer Award is new this year and is awarded to an organization partner we would like to recognize as a trailblazer and leader in embracing and championing new ideas, technologies, or initiatives. The award reflects a dedication to pushing boundaries and inspiring others to embrace innovation.

Harrison’s Heroes strives to help the families of young children challenged with long-term hospital stays and has been an exemplary model of how a proactive approach to adopting and supporting innovations can benefit patients broadly, improving experience and quality of life. Harrison’s Heroes demonstrates a commitment to driving positive change, embracing innovation and improving healthcare experiences for patients and their families. Their work is inspiring and impactful, and we're honored to partner with such an extraordinary organization.

As a small company with big aspirations to positively impact healthcare, we are grateful to these amazing organizations for the work they do within pediatrics, paving the way for more positive relationships with healthcare.
